Description:  Power in Poetry Annual Showcase Event introduces a diverse mix of poets from around the globe.  Dedicated to raising the awareness, participation and importance of poetry as a creative art form.

Power in Poetry is designed to Motivate, Inspire and Create (“M.I.C”) by providing a platform for young artists and seasoned role models to captivate their community audience, using spoken word.

  • Spoken Word Poetry:  Powerful performances addressing a vast array of topics that include, youth crime, social affairs, mental health, family life, etc.
  • Live Music:  Talented vocalists and musicians.

  • Dance Group Performances:  That is vibrant, culturally-inspired choreography.
